I had the pleasure of sharing the main house of Rachels house for three days recently and I can vouch for the home from home feeling. There was some concern that her two dogs would be a hindrance, but they were so lovable that I threatened to take one back to Ireland with me. For a quiet place to stay close to the city centre without the confines of a hotel room or single b&b room, I can recommend staying there as I will be doing so again in the future. Blissful Retreat I loved staying at Rachel's Home from Home! I needed a retreat and got it ... I was comfortable, warm and relaxed, loved spending time in the beautiful garden, and received lots of care and consideration from the hostess. Good value for money We stayed at Rachels from 13-15 March 2010. Rachel made us feel very welcome and went out of her way to assist, she even accompanied us in our car in order to show us the best route in and out of the CBD. The facilities were very clean, neat and spacious. It was also very quiet and peacful there . Rachel is a wonderful lady that goes out of her way to help you, its a bit like staying with your favourite Auntie.
Fantastic Breakfast, and a clean well presented room, with plenty of hot water.

We never felt like strangers. Rachel has a personal touch and warmth that she gives her guests. She provides more than you expect. The bathrooms had all the basic toiletries including deodorants. In the bedrooms there were chocolates and drinking water. in the kitchen all the utensils and basic food were there. The bedrooms are so neat and the bedding is good. It was wonderful. Recommended Rachel was lovely, very kind and attentive - came out in her car to rescue us when we got lost en route to her house, and ministered to our sick teenager.
